Bling, bling!!!

Hello and thank you for joining us for our very first Nestabling week!  Designers from both Scrap-Mart.com and Want2Scrap have teamed up to bring you a week long mini blog hop full of beautiful projects featuring Nestabling by Want2Scrap.  If you are just joining us, hop on over to the Scrap-Mart Blog and start there.  Before we get started with the projects, we’d like to send a special thanks to Want2Scrap for their generous donation of Nestabling for our designers to work with.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Nestabling.  I love how well it fits the shapes it's designed to work with but I also love how nice it looks when used by itself.

For my project, I used the Lifestyle Crafts Mini Pizza Box to create a little gift box.  I snagged this box up when it came out for Black Friday but was glad to see it was brought back 'cause I know there was lots of peeps who were upset when it sold out!

After cutting and assembling the pizza box, I cut two slits in the lid for the ribbon to pass through by simply using my craft knife and following the perforated line like this...

then feeding it through the slits like this...

By doing it this way instead of just tying it around the lid, it keeps the ribbon flat and tight on the lid just the way you want it.  Next, I cut a Spellbinders Labels One from my Charcoal AC Cardstock, embossed it with the Sizzix Flowers Embossing Folder, added the coordinating Labels One Pink Nestabling then adhered it to the lid of the pizza box.  At this point, I tied the ribbon into double bows.  My next layer was made by stamping the smaller frame from the JustRite Kindness Cling set in pink onto white cardstock and cutting it out with Spellbinders Labels Twenty.  Then, I stamped the sentiment in black and cut it out using my Circle Nestabilities.  After inking the edge of the circle with black ink, I adhered it to the center of the pink frame I stamped previously then applied the Silver Petite Circles Nestabling to it.  Using the same circle die I used for my sentiment, I cut two more circles then hand cut them into swirls and rolled them into little flowers.  Each flower was sprayed with Making Memories Slice Spray Adhesive and sprinkled with glitter.  I added one flower and one sprig from the Spellbinders Foliage set to each side of the bow to finish the box off.

Now hop on over to Want2Scrap designer Michele Ciola's blog to see what beautiful creation she has made to share with you!
